At HEXABIM’s annual BIM Influencers Awards, we were recognised for our BIM expertise in the “Structures” category.
Behind the three-letter acronym B.I.M. (“Building Information Modelling”) lies a 3D modelling tool well-known to professionals in the property sector, which is revolutionising building design, construction and management. This year, our expertise has been rewarded with the BIM Influencer 2020 award in the “Structures” category, by HEXABIM, the platform and network of BIM professionals in France.
BIM Influencers 2020, 121 candidates with around 4,100 voters
Our award is a token of recognition from members of the BIM community, both in France and abroad, who came together this year for the 3rd annual BIM Influencers Awards. This competition aims to recognise the people and companies involved in BIM in France. The winners were selected by some 4,100 voters, who acknowledge a broad range of candidates: BIM managers, engineers, architects, BIM consultants, recent graduates, teacher-trainers, etc. This year, the number of candidates totalled 121 across all categories.
FullBIM provides support at every stage of the project
With FullBIM, we develop a technical and “experiential” projection of exactly what each building we design will look like. The BIM model gives a precise and global vision of the project from the building’s design to its construction and operation. The structure, exterior and networks are modelled to provide teams with a comprehensive understanding of the project. Beyond that, each component is modelled to provide a very precise vision, from the concrete core to partitioning to technical installations. FullBIM has many benefits. These include early resolution of any potential issues that may arise on site, reduction of lead times, better after-sales service performance. And the 3D digital model also allows us to simulate technical data such as acoustics, heat, sunlight and consumption.
Our BIM expertise, already globally recognised and awarded
In 2018, at the Tekla France BIM Awards, the 142,000 m² ORY4 logistics platform in Brétigny-sur-Orge received the “Mention Spéciale du Jury”, a special award from the jury.
In 2016, we took home the Grand Prize at the Tekla Global BIM Awards 2016 for the use of BIM modelling on the Thales Bordeaux Campus project.
And in 2014, we were recognised at the Tekla France BIM Awards for our Agua headquarters in Toulouse.
Making BIM accessible to all, free of charge, with MOOCBIM
Because all stakeholders in the real estate and construction sector are concerned by this digital transition, we have joined forces with INSA Toulouse to design “MOOCBIM”, a BIM training course in the form of a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course). It is free, online and accessible to all.
In 4 weeks, MOOCBIM covers the basics of BIM, BIM modelling, the methodology and rules of BIM interoperability, the BIM charter and collaborative work. Since 2018, MOOCBIM has already trained and increased the skills of more than 10,100 participants 97% of learners recommend this training.
The next MOOCBIM session is scheduled for 2021. Stay tuned!
