Today, Pitch Promotion and GA handed over the keys to the new Balma campus to Orange managers. They jointly designed and built the campus with a strong biophilic approach, reconciling a former logistics platform with nature and reducing land artificialisation by 50%.
Located in Balma, near Toulouse, this campus will soon unite some 1,250 employees, previously spread over Orange’s 14 Toulouse sites, on a single site. Employees will move in several stages between the end of May and the end of June 2021.
Designed by architectural firms LCR Architectes, CCD Architecture and Kardham, the complex consists of four office buildings linked by an inner avenue, the campus’s true heart. In addition, employees will enjoy a 1,500 m² corporate restaurant, opening onto a large terrace and a 200 m² ornamental pond, plus a wood-clad, 5-level car park that blends perfectly into the surrounding environment.
Backed by a strong environmental conscience, the Orange Campus, which stands on a former logistics hub, was intended to restore natural harmony to a space where it had disappeared. Landscape architect Julie Poirel designed the campus’s lush, meticulously tended green grounds. Existing trees were preserved, and some 300 new, tall trees have been added. This landscaping, the very essence of the project, stems from a strong biophilic approach that promotes well-being and sustainability.
Orange Group employees will be moving onto an environmentally friendly campus that is Commercial Buildings HQE® certified. Connected and communicative, the campus is undergoing EFFINERGIE + and R2S 2-star certification, offering comfortable, dynamic workspaces bathed in daylight.
This new campus, called “Orange Tolosa,” illustrates Orange’s roots in the local ecosystem. We want to offer the best employee experience to our 1,250 employees by providing them with a user-friendly digital working environment that encourages cooperation and collective agility to serve our customers.
The Orange campus in Toulouse is a source of pride because it showcases our expertise and our commitments, our signature. We turned a concrete slab into a green site and integrated it into the local urban fabric that we know so well. We offer high environmental quality buildings at the heart of a natural setting, allowing us to combine performance, sustainability and biodiversity.
We are proud to deliver the Orange Campus alongside our partner, Pitch Promotion. We have planned, designed and built this campus to promote the well-being of users while balancing a strong environmental approach with a biophilic approach. This project reflects our convictions and what we believe in: we build for life, the lives of those who inhabit our buildings and the sustainability of our works, taking into account both the societal and environmental context.
