In October 2012, after less than a year of construction works, GA completed a brand new administrative building for Kronenbourg Breweries in Obernai, in the Bas-Rhin department. The 4,500 m² building has a ground floor, two upper floors and a partial basement, and a 625 places car park.
Highly efficient energy performance
GA implements technical solutions such as concrete shells that ensure that energy is kept under control. This shell provides good insulation and maximum thermal inertia. In winter, the walls and slabs restore the accumulated heat, and conversely, in the summer, it is cool in the building.
The extremely precise regulation of heating achieved with the assistance of Galaxy Pilot® enables the energy supply to be adapted in accordance with occupancy of the premises and the direction they face.
Another GA solution is the double flow system, which recovers 90% of the calories conveyed by the air that is extracted.
GA also saw to the installation of triple glazed picture windows with managed integrated power-operated blinds for optimal, active protection against the summer sun. Lastly, light fittings equipped with photometric sensors adapt automatically to the ambient brightness.
Well-being at work
In order to avoid building columns and lay out open-plan offices, GA brought its Tridal construction process into play. Cubicles were also provided so that employees can meet in small groups without disturbing those around them. Special care was given to the acoustics of these work spaces.
On the top floor is a tasting bar extended by an outdoor terrace equipped with wood, with flower pots, awnings and sun breaker. To reinforce the thermal insulation, some of the flat roofs have been planted with greenery.
