GA Smart Building breaks ground on a new 108-room hotel in Marne-la-Vallée. This development, which reflects the Group’s strategy to diversify its activities, harnesses the Ossabois subsidiary’s expertise in modular wood construction.
This new hotel in Marne-la-Vallée gives Eklo a beachhead in the Paris region, from which to roll out its innovative, lifestyle-focussed budget hotel concept.
The brand sets out to create a welcoming atmosphere through a hybrid, atypical offer featuring spacious common areas designed by Studio Janréji, addressing the need for a combination of comfort, environmental performance and cost-effectiveness.
Located near Disneyland® Paris, the Villages Nature® resort and the Val d’Europe shopping centre, this new Eklo hotel, designed by the architecture firm Patriarche, aims to serve an international clientele of business travellers and tourists.
The 108-room hotel has been developed around a modular wood-framed design that will set the standard for future sustainable projects.
Eklo Marne la Vallée is the first hotel financed by the real estate company Ekom Invest under a partnership with Omnes Capital and Banque des Territoires.
Work has just begun, with handover scheduled for November 2020, enabling the hotel to open by mid-December. This tight schedule is made possible by the off-site construction approach employed by GA Smart Building and the expertise of its subsidiary Ossabois in the area of wood-based modular construction. As well as accelerating the building process, off-site construction ensures industrial quality standards while minimising environmental impacts and disruption for local residents.
