“Sucker for Soccer”: contemporary art goes into extra time at GA Smart Building

12.08.2026

Keeping the spirit of the FIFA World Cup 2026 alive, Sucker for Soccer takes over GA Smart Building’s Paris offices. Through works by Zoran Lucic and Dominique Doerr, this new artistic season offers a graphic perspective on football and its iconic players.

A new contemporary art exhibition celebrates football

With the FIFA World Cup 2026 now over, Sucker for Soccer continues to bring art into GA Smart Building’s Paris workspaces.

Organised in partnership with rentingART, the exhibition brings together works by Zoran Lucic and Dominique Doerr, two artists whose contrasting styles complement one another.

Born in Šabac, Serbia, and raised in Bosnia, Zoran Lucic studied graphic arts and design at the University of Bijeljina. A graphic designer and typographer, he creates work characterised by a clean visual style, informed by his interest in sculpture and typography. For Euro 2012, he created the Sucker for Soccer series, portraying football legends in limited-edition works inspired by vintage posters. From George Best to Lionel Messi, alongside Maradona, Cantona and Ibrahimović, each portrait combines a distinctive graphic treatment with words associated with the player’s career, bringing art and design into conversation with football.

Alongside him, painter and sculptor Dominique Doerr presents work influenced by contemporary art, street art and pop art. After exploring painting, he gradually turned to bronze sculpture. His Map-monde en bronze continues his exploration of the relationship between humanity and the Earth, a recurring theme in his work.

GA Smart Building develops its art programme with rentingART

For several years, GA Smart Building has partnered with rentingART to regularly refresh the artworks displayed in its Paris offices and at Niwa, its Toulouse headquarters. Throughout the seasons, this partnership supports art programmes tailored to each location. Although the works differ between sites, they reflect a shared commitment to making contemporary art a lasting presence in the workplace.

Specialising in art rental for businesses, rentingART supports organisations seeking to integrate contemporary art into their working environments. Through regularly refreshed selections, each exhibition offers a new perspective on familiar spaces and introduces audiences to a variety of artistic approaches.

Following Icônes, Bestiaires contemporains, Regards and Texture, Sucker for Soccer continues the series of exhibitions hosted at GA Smart Building’s Paris offices.
