27.09.2018

Imagine what the future of the real estate industry will be, designing the new construction methods of the city of tomorrow: these two major challenges of the sector offer a wide field to inspire the candidates of the Real Estate Industry 2018 Junior Award.

Held by the Le Moniteur / Infopro Digital group as part of the Corporate Real Estate trade show (SIMI), sponsored by the Palladio Foundation, the Prix Junior de l’Industrie Immobilière 2018 (Real Estate Industry 2018 Junior Award) is a reward for a student’s thesis written at the end of their higher studies programme (Master’s degree level, Master 2, Specialised Master’s degree), which brings a different, forward-looking and innovative viewpoint to the real estate industry and construction of the city. Aimed at young graduates about to begin their career in real estate, this distinction is a boon and a real springboard for them.

Several prizes for the Prix Junior de l’Industrie Immobilière 2018

First of all because the winner will not walk away empty-handed. They will thus be rewarded with a 1,000 euros, given by the event sponsor, the Palladio Foundation, which will put the winning thesis online on its website and will publish an extract of it in the “Cahiers Palladio” section of the real-estate journal Réflexions Immobilières. The winner will also receive a purchase voucher worth 1,000 euros to spend at Le Moniteur’s Paris bookstore. That is not all: they will benefit from a one-year subscription to Business Immo, free membership of the ADI and invitations to various events organised by the Afilog, Cercle 30 and the FPI.

Also because the jury is made up of seasoned professionals of the sector. A wide panel of people fully involved in the real estate and construction sector, who will provide support to the winner of the Prix Junior de l’Industrie Immobilière 2018 with developing their projects.

Chaired by Sébastien Matty, President of GA Smart Building, the jury this year is made up of Camille Barrois, Vice-Chairman of Westbrook Properties, Dimitri Boulte, CEO of Société Foncière Lyonnaise, Thierry Cahierre, CEO of Redevco, Sofiane Chikh, Innovation of the City Director at Eiffage Construction, Pauline Duval, Chief Executive of the Duval group, Benoît Labat, Development and Promotion Director of Société du Grand Paris, Anne Mollet, Sustainable Development and Strategic Marketing Director of Nexity, Marine Ulivieri, Asset Management Director of Paris Aéroports. Maximise your chances

Until 25 October 2018, go to salonsimi.com to download the application file. For it to be selected and to be able to contribute fully to the award, several criteria have been adopted: the candidate must first demonstrate, through their thesis, their ability to look at the topic afresh and to put changes to the environments into perspective. The thesis must show the academic rigour of the candidate and be linked as directly as possible to operational reality. The relevance of the topic and the quality of presentation of the thesis will be favourable to the candidate, who, through it, will demonstrate all the validity of their entry.

The jury will elect the winner in terms of the forward-looking and innovative vision that the thesis presents about the real estate industry and construction of the city. The theses should address topics related to the actors, the activities, the assets and the various issues facing the real estate industry and the city (law, economy, management, social and human sciences, architecture, urban planning, engineering, etc.).
