France’s first Moxy hotel, developed by Vastint Hospitality and built by GA Smart Building, is a six-storey property featuring 292 guest rooms arranged over nearly 8,000 sqm of floor space.
Moxy hotels, the lifestyle brand of the Marriott International group, aims to shake up traditional hotel codes. These next-generation budget hotels, aimed at millennials, are designed with a focus on community and socialising. This is reflected in the signature design and contemporary aesthetics, with a strong technological flavour to the range of services on offer.
The Moxy hotel at Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport, which has been open to the public since late 2019, is the tangible result of a conviction shared by GA Smart Building and Vastint Hospitality regarding the benefits of modular, off-site construction. This sustainable industrial approach allows high-quality hotels to be built to very tight schedules.
GA Smart Building produced the necessary structural elements for the infrastructure, ground floor and vertical circulations at its precast concrete plant in Criquebeuf-sur-Seine, near Rouen. For the above-ground floors and 275 guest rooms, GA Smart Building assembled modular wooden elements developed and produced at plants operated by Vastint Hospitality.
Located near Terminal 1 of Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport, this Moxy hotel – the first in France and the chain’s 19th in Europe – was designed by the Austrian firm of architects, BWM.
