The Group has just been selected for the HappyIndex®/Trainees rankings, produced by the corporate rating website ChooseMyCompany, based on employee feedback.
For the first time since the Label was created in 2015, “we are one of the companies seen as most popular with interns and work/study trainees”, reports Delphine Martin, Deputy Group HR Director. GA Smart Building has thus joined 240 other companies known to be the very best when it comes to on-boarding, supporting and managing interns and work/study trainees.
Objectives exceeded on the three main criteria
Getting that label didn’t come easy, though. “The ratings come exclusively from interns and work/study trainees, who evaluate their company”, explains Delphine Martin. “And to be certified, a company has to exceed a threshold based on three criteria”. Firstly, the participation rate must be higher than 50%. This was the case with a survey response rate of 55.2% among trainees and work/study trainees in the Group, i.e. 16 students out of 29. Then, the overall assessment rating must be higher than 3.82 out of 5: GA Smart Building totalled 3.94. Lastly, the recommendation rate must exceed 75%. Here again, the target was achieved, with 81% recommending the Group.

“These are very positive results for our reputation in general, as well as for our e-reputation, which is so important for all companies today”, explains the Deputy HRD. “For us, interns, like work/study trainees, are one of the leading players in the recruitment process. It is thus very good news when they enjoy their time with us: it means they will want to stay in the Group and can also attract new talent by letting others know how they feel. Because we regularly have recruitment needs, adds Delphine Martin. Building the future starting right now, by gaining the loyalty of future leading talents while they train… Mission accomplished for the Group, which since the integration of Osabois, has some 750 employees to its name.
