GA Smart Building has chosen to work with the Onfly solution developed by BIM & Co to centralize, manage and share its BIM objects and data.
In a BIM project, hundreds of BIM objects are needed to model a building. Onfly is a library of standard objects and components, connected to the BIM Tekla and Revit software, making it possible to use the digital model throughout the structure’s life cycle. During the design phase, it enables time-savings and improves collaboration with architects. During the execution phase, it fosters coordination with the Technical Design Offices. Lastly, during the operational phase, it guarantees GA customers the ability to use BIM throughout the building’s life.
Thanks to object coding, precise analyses can be carried out on the BIM model in terms of cost control and life cycle analysis.
With the Onfly solution integrated, we will be able to set up long-term management of a centralised library. This is a new way of managing the large flows of information found in the BIM database and thus improving productivity and quality while reducing the risk of error.
By developing a database of standardised BIM objects via Onfly, GA is instituting a common language with its partners and subcontractors, thus facilitating collaboration and making fuller use of BIM models during projects. We are proud to work with GA Smart Building, with which we share a taste for innovation and business process optimisation.
