16.02.2023

We’re unveiling the Make The City challenge podium. The brief? Put forward innovative ideas and projects for the city and real estate of tomorrow.

Yesterday was the grand finale for the 3rd annual Make The City student challenge, hosted by the Palladio Foundation and Business Immo on the Agorize platform.

This final marks the end of a six-month selection process during which multidisciplinary teams of two to four students, ranging from undergraduate to post-graduate level, competed in three distinct categories: Human and Inclusive Cities and Real Estate; Low-Carbon and Sustainable Cities and Real Estate; Smart and Connected Cities and Real Estate. All submitted proposals had to have a positive impact on society.

After reviewing each team’s ideas, the jury selected the two finalist teams. After this stage, the “BioKeep” and “Entre nos mains” teams made it directly to the final. But it was also thanks to the public, based on the likes collected on social media, that a third team had the chance to make it to the final: “Be Green”.

The candidates had the chance to pitch their project during the Forum des métiers de l’immobilier et de la ville (real estate and municipal careers fair) organised by Business Immo at the Porte Maillot Palais des Congrès in Paris.

“Entre nos mains”, winner of the 3rd annual Make The City challenge

The “Entre nos mains” team is the winner of the 3rd annual Make The City challenge. The project led by Satine Maréchal, Léa Delebarre, Lisa Hennemann and Carla Rodriguez aims to create an intergenerational link between the elderly and young people. Creating an application and a partnership with real estate agencies will enable them to be put in contact with each other to live together in one household.

The “Be Green” and “Biokeep” teams scored 2nd and 3rd, respectively, in the challenge.
