We are renovating an almost 2,000 m² building on a century-old industrial site in Béziers. Following completion of the work, Genvia will install its pilot production line for high-temperature electrolysers.
Renovation work kicks off in Béziers on a building that will house the first industrial pilot production line for high-temperature electrolysers! Owned by the oil industry equipment manufacturer Cameron Schlumberger, this 2,000 m² building dating back to the early 20th century will be operated after construction is completed at the end of October 2021 by the new company Genvia, the result of a partnership between the CEA, Schlumberger and the Agence Régionale Energie Climat Occitanie (Regional Energy and Climate Agency of Occitania).
Following a design-and-build tender launched at the end of 2020, we will be carrying out this renovation with Sight and the fluids design company, Cap Ingelec.
A factory renovation project subject to constraints
After submitting our bid in just one month, we committed to delivering the first phase of the project this summer, just a few months after winning the tender. This first phase will be followed by a second phase, scheduled for the end of October 2021. Our ability to deliver within very short deadlines and to adapt to a process still being defined, as well as our experience in industrial sites, will ensure we meet this technical challenge.
