GA Smart Building welcomes Yannick Sola as the head of Ossabois, its subsidiary specialized in timber construction, which plays a key role within its off-site platform.
Yannick Sola’s mission will be to strengthen Ossabois’s position as the French leader in off-site timber construction, particularly in the residential, education, and hospitality sectors. He succeeds Michel Veillon, who, after a decade of exemplary leadership, has chosen to take on a new role as Commercial and Business Development Director of Ossabois.
Yannick Sola brings extensive experience as a business leader and technical director in engineering and construction. He began his career as Technical Director for Project Ownership at Pierre & Vacances Group, later joining Disneyland Paris, where he managed maintenance teams before heading up construction and engineering. He went on to lead European real estate at Compagnie des Alpes during the launch of its Leisure Division. He later founded Théorème, a consulting and engineering firm—now a mission-driven company—specialized in design-build services and known for its expertise in creating innovative destinations and experiential spaces.
Ossabois plays a key role in GA Smart Building’s off-site construction platform, which brings together the Group’s industrial subsidiaries and associated operational services. This platform enables a synergistic, sustainable, and technology-driven approach to construction.
With this unique off-site platform, a powerful lever for innovation and performance, GA Smart Building continues to push the boundaries of the construction industry, setting new benchmarks for sustainability, efficiency, and innovation. Open to all stakeholders, the platform allows industry players to tap into its industrial capabilities to scale up off-site construction in France and accelerate the sector’s transformation.
I’m pleased to welcome Yannick Sola as the new Managing Director of Ossabois. His broad experience, leadership skills, and dual background in large corporations and entrepreneurship will, I’m sure, drive Ossabois’ continued growth in its core markets. I’m convinced that Ossabois plays a vital role within our off-site platform and that the large-scale deployment of off-site construction will help transform our industry. I would also like to sincerely thank Michel Veillon for his continued commitment to Ossabois.
I’m proud to take on the role of Managing Director of Ossabois and grateful to the GA Group for trusting me to meet the challenges facing our industry. In a context where adapting to climate change and protecting biodiversity are urgent priorities, alongside growing societal demands, I’m convinced that timber construction, which is inherently off-site, will help us move faster toward carbon neutrality. I’m also delighted to be working with a committed leadership team and dedicated employees as we tackle these goals together with energy and determination.
