This ambitious real estate project is part of the “Safran My Atlantis” operation, led by Safran Electronics & Defense (SED), an international high-tech player operating in the fields of aerospace, space, and defense.
Located on the former open-air parking area of the Mail Atlantis, the future building will benefit from enhanced accessibility thanks to its immediate proximity to the RER B and C lines, the Massy-Palaiseau TGV station, as well as the future lines 18 of the Grand Paris Express and T12.
Designed by the ECDM Architects agency, this complex will bring together the teams and activities of Safran Electronics & Defense and its subsidiaries Data Systems and Trusted 4D in a modern, functional, and adaptable working environment. It will accommodate nearly 800 people and will include:
-
Office spaces for operational teams
-
Logistics areas, storage facilities, and technical premises
The entire project has been designed to meet the comfort and performance standards of a state-of-the-art industrial site. Particular attention has been paid to circulation flow and quality of work life through the creation of collaborative spaces, the use of sustainable materials, and, of course, the diffusion of natural light throughout the building.
As part of a commitment to preserving and enhancing biodiversity, the future Safran Electronics & Defense site will feature green roofs, water retention basins, and local plantings.
Like all GA Smart Building projects, the future offices for Safran Electronics & Defense align with the sustainability criteria of the European taxonomy and reflect strong environmental ambitions. In particular, they will meet the 2025 threshold of the RE2020 environmental regulation.
The façades will be made of low-carbon concrete with a sandblasted finish and will be entirely prefabricated and assembled in factories, including integrated external joinery and air inlets.
The industrialization of the construction process ensures perfect execution quality, cost control, and a minimized carbon footprint. It will also enable the delivery of the entire complex by the end of 2026 after a 16-month construction period.
