The GA Group is renovating offices formerly occupied by Peugeot for AEW Europe. The offices make up a 2,600-sq m property complex that has ceased to meet the needs of the letting market and was no longer let. A bid announcement was made with the purpose of bringing the building into compliance with the market standards, and GA won the tender.

The GA NewSkin process, a unique renovation solution

GA was awarded the contract by virtue of its GA NewSkin process, among other things. This solution allows the old façade of a building to be replaced with a new envelope that incorporates all GA’s exclusive equipment -- triple glazing with integrated blinds and air treatment modules --, thereby giving the old building the performance of a new one.  Connected to the urban heating network and centralized chilling, the new air treatment modules will provide heating and air conditioning in the offices as well as air treatment and free cooling. The façade becomes active by enclosing all the building’s technology, while suspended ceilings are eliminated, thus increasing ceiling height.

The GAPÉO® solution for the utmost in energy performance

The offices, designed in collaboration with the architectural firm ARTE Charpentier, had an existing area of 2,645 sqm. This floor area will be extended to 2,920 sqm with the creation of an added half-level on top of the existing 4-storey structure, prolonged by a 125-sqm terrace. The construction of a double-height lobby will increase the reception area’s visibility and enhance users’ comfort. Because the site is built with the assistance of GA’s Active Computer-Aided Management of Energy Efficiency (GAPÉO®), its energy consumption will be optimized -- added proof of the extent to which GA focuses on energy efficiency and respect for the environment without ever losing sight of the comfort users expect.
